Final Campaign: Methodinmind

The ultimate cleaning brand Method have collaborated with Mind charity and are launching the UK’s ultimate campaign to clean your mind and home. Aimed at students and young people in their first homes, their campaign intends to reinforce the huge benefits to be gained from cleaning and organisation. The release of a cool new product will be a solution to the burnout and will ultimately enhance well-being. After all a tidy home is a tidy mind.

The product


This is a mock-up of what the starter kit will look like. It includes three half sized cleaning products, a cleaning pad and an organisational planner. The products come in an eco-friendly box that can be used to store the cleaning products in. The lid of the box can be re-purposed into a desk organiser. The starter kit comes in three fun colour ways. 10% of proceeds from the product will be donated to Mind charity.

Press event


The press event will be held in a Manchester location venue. The venue will be transformed into Method’s “that clean feeling” event. The event is made up of five parts. Each room will feature a different theme which will contain different activities.

Press box


The press box will be given to the appropriate brands, influencers and publications during the press event. The box will contain goodies that promote the campaign and brand. It will also include a detailed press release that explains the campaign and new product.

Social media


Social media will be used to promote the new campaign and product. The mock-ups show some of the social media content that will be used on Method’s social platforms.

Out of home : billboard


48 sheet billboards will be placed in hotspots across main cities in the country. The billboard features the bold strap-line that connects to the campaigns mental health awareness.

In-store promotion : Selfridges


Selfridges sell Method in-store, therefore Method will use this as an opportunity to share the new product and engage the customer. There will be a dedicated area for the starter kit, in which an interactive screen will allow customers to connect. The customer can use their hand to interactively wipe the words clean, they will then receive a Method cleaning pad. To activate the screen, customers will have to subscribe to emails. This will allow Method to connect with their customers in the future.

New stockists


Method will add Asos to their list of stockists. This is to target the primary customer. Since Asos is highly used amongst students and also includes 10% via UNIDAYS this will engage the customer. UNIDAYS will be used to prompt the primary customer buy Method, with10% discount given when shopping through Amazon.co.uk.

Method X Glastonbury


Method will feature at Glastonbury 2021. The pop-up structure will feature three shipping containers which will be branded up. The contents of this will include; confetti showers, a bedroom ball pit and a lounge area. The lounge area will feature a live DJ and beanbags for customers to chill out and talk. This event aims to advertise Method’s campaign, in which guests will receive festival freebies.

University pop-up


Method will target the main customer by placing a pop-up event at university fresher fairs across the country. Freebies will be received when subscribing at the pop-up area. These will contain goodies that are useful; The items will come in a branded tote bag which can be reused. A candy floss station will be placed in a different location on university campus. In which the customer can grab a free colourful candy floss!

Method monthly service


Method monthly will launch at the same time as the campaign. This will be a monthly subscription service that delivers cleaning treats to your door every month. The subscription will continue to send the message of the campaign “clean your home and your mind”. The subscription service can be bought through Method’s webpage where customers can choose the length of their subscription or the option to gift a subscription to someone.
